Automatically Move Row Trigger
It seems that it is not possible to move a row based on a formula or date. I'd like to move it daily based on status rather than immediately. (Why, because people make mistakes.)
Is there any way to do that inside of Smartsheet (no third party).
TIA

Hi @ker9
This is definitely possible!
You can set up a date-based automation that runs daily (instead of "once", click on the drop-down and choose custom to set a daily recurrence) at a specific time if certain criteria is met (for example, if the Status column has a specific value). See below:
You can read more about the Move Row function (click here), and also Time Based automations (click here), in our Help Center.
Let me know if this works for you!
Cheers,
Genevieve

Thank you - I would swear I tried that and it gave me an error message about not being able to move rows based on dates (or something like that). Tried again this morning, no error messages.

Glad this worked out for you! 😊

Hi, I read the help article for the new Move/Copy rows workflow (https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2479626-automatically-move-or-copy-rows-between-sheets)
What is not clear to me is whether or not the person who triggers the Copy Row workflow needs to be shared on the destination sheet or only on the source sheet.
TIA

Hi @ker9
If the user creating the workflow on the original source sheet only has Admin permissions, then yes, the Owner of that source sheet will need to be shared to the destination sheet for it to be an option to copy rows to.
Users who trigger the automation can be anybody. The trigger depends on your workflow criteria.
Is that what you meant? Let me know if I can clarify anything further!
Cheers,
Genevieve
