Is it possible for a user to retrieve a pre-filled form with their old submission if they want to change something?

Yes, but it involves sending an update request through an automated workflow and it needs to be activated somehow.

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

I have a similar situation. The form is a simple one (combo of field types: text box, drop down, etc.) where users are submitting budget requests. In some cases, the submitters may need to make changes to the submission (add additional details to fields, add another attachment). I can create a report allowing users to see just their submissions, but was looking to make it simpler to update back in the original form once they selected a submission.

Thank you for your suggestion. That makes sense. I know how to activate an "Update Request". Can a user initiate an Update Request?

@Jeff McFarland, the user, could initiate it through an automated workflow. The user would fill in a form with an id, and that would trigger the workflow to send them an update request.

How often would they need to be able to request the update? Do they need to be able to update on the same day as the first submission?

I would like the user to be able to request a "Request to Update" when ever they need. Yes, could be the same day as the first submission.
