Moving row from one sheet to another
Hi
Here is my challenge. One of my team enters projects into Sheet1 using a form which results in new rows on Sheet1. Once projects from Sheet1 are approved the manager checks a checkbox which triggers the move of the specific rows to Sheet2. Sheet1 has columns that do not need to be copied to Sheet2. How do I prevent those additional columns to be copied?
If the complete row is copied by design, what is the best way to no display those additional columns? Hide them? Is there other options?
thanks for your help

Hi,
You could move the rows and keep the extra columns hidden or maybe use cross-sheet formulas to get the information as needed in the second sheet.
What do you think?
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

it seems that hiding the column is the best way to do it unless I want to have IF statements all over my sheet.
Thanks

Happy to help!
You wouldn't need multiple IF statements on the sheet.
We'd use cross-sheet formulas and VLOOKUP or a combination of INDEX/MATCH.
If it works to copy the rows, I would recommend to use it as you have it already, but if you have a reason not to be able to show the information in the hidden columns, this can be an alternative.

Data Mesh would work for this assuming you do not need to bring over attachments or comments
