Custom gantt chart zoom for timeline

Hello,

From what I have seen it's not possible, but I can't understand why, is there a way to have the gantt chart timeline displayed only for the period of the project (beginning the first month of the project and ending the last month for example) in order to have a timeline that fits the project duration ?

It would be very useful to have functionalities like "fit the timeline to the project" or "choose custom beginning and ending date of the timeline". It's very annoying to either have only a vision of a small part of a project (3 months) or to see 2 years (if your project last only one year you have a visibility waste of 1 year that is blank).

I want this too. I have a large wide monitor and it's so sucky that I can't stretch my project to span the monitor in a single, readable, overall project view.

we don't work for SS. They should understand our needs and drive the product accordingly.

Not having such a basic "fit the timeline to window" feature after these year is unacceptable
