Only send child rows in update request

I have a sheet where information is segregated into generations, and I would like to send just a specific row with an alert. The reason for this is attachments can be opened directly from the email if only a single row is sent, but if multiple rows are sent then I have to open the sheet in order to access them

Does anyone have any workarounds for this?

You would ad din a column such as a checkbox type and have the box checked for only the row you want sent then build this condition into your alert.
