Is it possible to add dynamicaly a line ina summary sheet if a new sheet is created in a folder?
Hi there, i manage several projects. Each project is in a individual sheet.
I created a summary sheet to gather information from projects.
When i create a new project in a folder, i wonder if it is possible to add this new project inside the summary sheet dynamicaly as a new line?
I tried the report, i just have to click on the folder to add thei new projetc, but, i cannot creat metrics from report, so i need to pass through a summary sheet.
Many thanks !
BR.

Hi Emmanuel,
Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment
There might be a potential workaround.
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Hi Andree, thanks for your answer, here is my process :
1/I need to follow each project as an individual sheet because i use a teplate i duplicate and i want to have only document linked to ths project , have a simple view of gantt etc... (sorry it is in french)
2/ I need a summary sheet that integrate datas from individual page for reporting purpose, like metrics, dashboard.
Here i created a report, but, i cannot create metrics in dashboard for exemple : number of project with sun icon....
So i need the same structure but in a summary sheet with automatic filling from individual sheet.
Hope it is clear, if you know a workaround, i'm in ;)
I saw the control center, is it useful for my case ?
Many thnaks again.

Happy to help!
I'd recommend using a so-called Master Metric Sheet (Summary Sheet), and in the template, have a section/row with all the metrics that you need from each sheet. You would then cell-link that area for each project to the master metric sheet.
Make sense?
The premium add-on, Control Center, would surely be useful, but it might be an overkill depending on the number of projects compared to the investment.
What do you think?

Hi Andree, really appreciate your help.
I created the master sheet with cell link with each project sheet, but i have to do it manually each time a new project is created.
So the PMO have to create those links manually each time. As we have lots of small projects, i was looking for an automatic link with master sheet.
Any idea to handle that? Many thanks again !!

Hi Andree, me again, i found this on community, it is in the other way, but sounds good :
I can have a master sheet with a list of all projects and a workflow that copy the row , but i need to copy row in a temlate and not in a single sheet because i need to create a roject from template... Hope to be clear, thanks !!

Ok.
I'd say you have two options except for the manual cell-linking.
If you could have an intake sheet for the projects and then add a project ID in the created project sheet, we can pull the information from the intake sheet. I use this all the time in my client solutions. If this will work for your use-case depends on the information, the intake sheet includes what you need for the metrics. You could also combine it with Sheet Summary and use them for sheet specific metrics.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
If not, then there is the premium add-ons or third-party solutions. What metrics do you need to show, specifically?
