Re-sorting by date after I change the date
If i push a date out on one of my line items and sort by date; the changed line item will only drop to the bottom of the month that it currently exists in. How do i get the line item to sort to it's proper "new" date?

Hi Morgan,
Not sure I follow!
Can you maybe share some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

here are screen shots of my actions. Notice line item TEST highlighted red. I change the date from March 5th to May 5th, then sort by date in the date column. The TEST line item only drops to the end of March, it does not move to May 5th.

Ok.
Now I see. It's because you have parents/children. It will sort by the parents first.
Make sense?

hmm no, haha. so is it the way i am selecting the values when sorting? if so, what SHOULD i be doing?

I believe Andree is correct. You see this thing in the circle? That's a parent row. If you didn't mean to have parent/child rows, then select all the rows underneath the row with the dash, and click the "Outdent" button. That will remove the parent/child relationship and let you sort properly.
Outdent:

See my example:
When I sort ascending by Submission date, it sorts the parent rows first, then it sorts the child rows but only within the group of child rows:
