When Sending a Row, Can Row Attachments be Visible?

We are trying to use Smartsheet for Site Reports on Construction Sites. We are currently using forms for this as it seems like the most efficient method and allows easy attachment of images. Unfortunately it seems like when sending a row out following a site visit, these images are just noted as links within the email rather than showing at least a thumbnail of each image.

Having these images easily viewed in sequence is essential for us and it doesn’t appear this is currently possible. I was thinking perhaps printing the row as a PDF would include these images but this still doesn’t seem to do it. Perhaps there is another suggested way of doing this as I can’t imagine this image viewing isn’t essential for the majority of Smartsheet users.

You could add the pictures to cells instead and then i think they will be visible from send row.

Thank you for the quick response. I had tried this method and the images do view reasonably as thumbnails like this. If row attachments viewed in the same way that would probably be sufficient for my needs. The main issue with adding the images to cells in the way you suggested is that only one image can be included with each cell. We often have 20-30 images within a report. Another big issue is that these images in cells can’t be added through the use of forms.

Unfortunately @Andrée Starå's solution is the only way to allow for any kind of "thumbnail". There is currently no way to get attachments to be displayed this way, but it would be great if it could be done. Feel free to Submit a Product Enhancement Request when you have a chance.

Thank you for your response. That is very disappointing to hear. I have now submitted a request as you had suggested. I really hope this feature gets added in the very near future because this is a necessity for anyone in the Architecture and construction world.

I haven't had need for it, so I don't know much about it, but have you looked into Proofing? I am not sure how that sends when sending a row or anything, but I do know that is one more tool you can use to attach various files to a row.
