Mapping Feature

Does anyone know if Smartsheet will be rolling out a supported mapping application? I have been using the unsupported mapping ap in the Smartsheet labs and LOVE IT. However it will be going away soon, but I am hoping that it will be replaced.

You can use a dynamic push to an Excel spreadsheet then import said spreadsheet to Google Maps. I know it's not quite the same in that you will need to re-import the spreadsheet if changes were made since you last viewed the map, but it is a step closer than nothing at all.

I’m thinking that it could be possible to develop something (depending on the specific use-case) with the third-party service, Zapier, which could be an excellent option for this scenario.

What do you think?

Thank you Paul. I was really hoping Smartsheet would roll out a supported mapping application. Maybe someday! Thank you for giving me an alternative.

Same here, we have been using the Map a lots. So far they told me they have no plan to keep it. I haven’t found a replacement app yet.

Thanks Andree! I have not heard of Zapier but will check it out.

It would be great if SS would just keep the mapping feature. It has worked great so far and I have not had any issues with it. This is such a helpful and easy to use app. I know other police departments would find it very useful as well.
