Hyperlink in a cell

Hi there,

I'm looking at hyperlinking a sheet into a cell.

What are the limitations of doing this? (if the sheet is moved or/does the hyperlink expire)

Many thanks in advance

Scott

    Hi Scott,

As far as I know the URL doesn’t have any limitations so it should work for everything.

    I hope that helps!

    Have a fantastic weekend!

  • Hi there Scott,

Thanks for reaching out within the Community.

Hyperlinking in sheets cells can be done by using the start of a URL followed by the website. Example: https://google.com.

For the URLs to be hyperlinked, it must start with "https://" in order for it to be a clickable link. In addition to this, I moved the sheet around, with a hyperlink in a cell, into different folders and workspaces, and the link remained active.

I think the only way the link would ever become deactivated is if the website as taken down or if the "https://" section was modified.

    Kindest Regards
