Managing contacts is frustrating

Is anyone else frustrated with the contacts management within smartsheet?

If I import contacts or add them to "My Smartsheet Contacts" , I am unable to add them to groups.

So I add them to group first (email only) but then some I can edit via My Smartsheet Contacts to add their name and some I can't.

When I add a name it duplicates their entry and I can't delete the duplicate without a name.

Any good tips here for managing contacts effectively? with Name and email that is not duplicated and can be referenced in groups or otherwise?😡
