Smartsheet Project Management
Hi All,
My team when starting a new project works off of a template. This template is broad and is set up to cover all possible tasks that the project may contain.
My question is what is the best way to deal with "if applicable" tasks regards predecessors and the Gantt chart. Am I correct in saying that if a task is non applicable, the row cannot be deleted as this will affect previous predecessors?
Any help/ best practices would be greatly appreciated.

I have this same type of setup where one "master" project plan covers all types of projects. I had to turn off the dependencies and use formulas instead to get accurate reporting and rollup data.

Hi Paul,
This is also currently what I am doing. Metrics such as average duration can be reported on, but the Gantt view is rendered useless. Was hoping there may be a workaround :(

Unfortunately that's about it. Feel free to Submit a Product Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
