Smartsheet integration with Microsoft Teams?

Curious if any of you out there are using Microsoft Teams for team communications?  If so, would you find value in us building an integration between Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams so that sheets, Sights, and Cards could be added as a tab within a Microsoft Teams channel?

Yes! That would be great. We recently adopted it and has been a great communication tool with the integration of the otehr MS products. I think it would be beneficial to have tab functionality to connect to a workspace to view any sheets in that workspace , and also to create a tab for a specific sheet. 

 

It would also be a good idea to build a "connector" into a channel for alerts and notifications.

Absolutely!

 

We have Smartsheet for Demand Management and Project Management in IT, and soon will be using Microsoft Teams for our internat communication en IT. So it would be a great integration to have notifications pushed into our #channels or specifi people responsible of activities, and so on.

Yes, that would also help drive Smartsheet adoption at my company.  To be able to see a sheet in a channel makes alot of sense.

I cannot seem to see the add teams as an option as it shows in the guide

Would you mind providing more information? Are you trying to add a Smartsheet item as a tab to your existing Teams channel? What step in the process do you get stuck on?

i press the 'plus' sign and i do not see smartsheet there, i press 'connector' and no smartsheet options

I got an error when I tryed to add the app:

 

 

What I should do? 

 

 

I just tryed on the mac app and when I click on add this windows pop up but nothings happens. Then I tryed directly on the browser (chrome) and this is the message I got.

If you're using the desktop application, you may need to update it before you'll see the Smartsheet for Teams option. Click the bottom left corner of the app and select Check for Updates.

 

Otherwise, see if you can use the integration through the brower application at: https://teams.microsoft.com/

hi yes have tried that i have the latest version of teams or so it says, i tried on the web and no option there either
