Inserting Columns and Color is Auto-Applied

When I insert a new column, it is green. How do I turn color off when adding new rows or columns?

Hi Amy,
Are you using any conditional formatting?
Can you maybe share some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help.Β (share too,Β andree@getdone.se)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Hello AndrΓ©e,
Attached is a screenshot when I try to insert a new column on my sheet. This only happens on this particular sheet.
The green highlight doesn't occur when inserting rows.

Try selecting the columns to the left and right with the one with the color and select automatic as the color.
A client of mine had this issue, but I'm not 100 % sure how we solved it.
Did that fix it?
If not, Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help.Β (share too,Β andree@getdone.se)

That didn't fix it. I copied and pasted the contents into a new sheet. My workaround, but never found out what happened. I'll try to send you a copy of the sheet so you can see what happened.

Hi AndreΓ© - Thanks for following up. I ended up creating a brand new sheet. I think the root cause is something to do with previous color conditional formatting or formatting columns/rows with colors and SmartSheets not clearing out that info in cache (or whatever it refers to). I don't know why, but I recall this was the reason I had colored columns to begin with.
