Can you 'Use a Template' from the dashboard?

Is it possible to have someone click a link on a dashboard that would trigger 'Use a Template' or create a new copy of a sheet? I have links that create a copy of a google sheet, but would like to move these into smartsheet and allow people to primarily work from the dashboards.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!

Has there been any build/functionality put in place for this? I have created a SmartSheet and saved it as a template. I'd like for my team to be able to access it via our dashboard. I'm hoping there's been progress since this was first posted several months ago???
