We have a sheet used to track jobs status, at any given time we are entering jobs in batches of 20-30 copy/pasting from an excel spreadsheet. Would a template work better for batch submission?

Would the sheet where we'd be entering the jobs to be moved to the main master sheet be setup as a regular sheet or as a template, where we can have preloaded information?
@Andrée Starå Following up on this. If we are having an outside party submitting this information; we need to give this party access to the "template" but do they require a license to enter said info?
I'd recommend using a regular sheet and maybe use a form for the outside party to submit information. if they need to create a new sheet from a template they would need to have a license.
