Alerts not sending
I'm setting up an alert using and expect it to come into my inbox immediately. I'm not getting anything. The details are:
Trigger = "When rows are changed" and specifying the column and "changes to" value
Run workflow = "When triggered"
Send to specific people = myself (b/c I'm trying to test the alert)
I am customizing the email subject and body
Automation Persmissions are "Unrestricted"

Hi Jonathan,
First, make sure that you have allowed yourself to receive notifications properly in your Personal Settings (circle/profile in the upper right corner).
Did that fix it?

I am having the same problem. I have set alerts that are triggered by a specific date and time and I am not getting the email alert. I did notice that once you are logged in Smartsheet I can see the alert in my profile, but I wish I was getting the email, since the people I am sending the alerts are not log in smartsheet all the time.

First, make sure that you have allowed yourself to receive notifications properly in your Personal Settings (circle/profile in the upper right corner) and secondly check the Permission setting for the Automations. (cog in the top right corner in the Automation overview)
If the settings are ok.
Do you get the email alerts for other notifications from Smartsheet?

I am getting this same problem. I have all settings set up properly to allow emailed updates, even when I make changes. I am receiving notifications within Smartsheet, usually, but no emails are going out to anyone.

There were some updates to the mail servers recently, so maybe that could be why it is not working.
Did it work before?

Yes, the email notifications used to work. It wasn't until a group meeting last week that the topic came up. People in our group mentioned they weren't receiving update notifications for their tasks.
I can't get it to work. Only notifications within Smartsheet seem to be working, but our users aren't in there frequently enough for that to be useful.

Have you checked with your IT department, so it's not a spam filter or something that is the problem?
I've seen others have similar issues were that was the reason.
