Macros to create monthly reports

Does Smartsheet have the capability to incorporate macros into a sheet. Like in Excel, if I want to create a new report every month I click a button, and the info on that sheet moves over to last months cells and the current months cells are blank for me to fill in?

Is this possible in Smartsheet? If so, how?

Smartsheet does not have traditional macros, instead the offer access to the API, which has a much higher learning curve.

I recommend being careful with this feature, as we are limited by number of sheets we have access to, and it can be dangerous to your sheet count to make new sheet generation this simple.
