How do I link RYG balls to a "status" column in another sheet?

I am creating a sheet for my manager. I want to link the color of the RYG balls to the status column in my teams separate sheet. I want Yellow for the status "Received. Not started." Green for "In Progress." and "In Veeva.". Red for "On Hold" and Blue for "Completed". I've searched all over and can only find the answer for number based status. Please help.

Hi Megan,

You would either use cell-linking or VLOOKUP or an INDEX/MATCH. The best method would depend on your specific use-case.

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)

In the source sheet. We'd then use that/add that to the destination sheet to match them.
