How to make the symbol show instead of the word in a form

Hi,

I'm working on form entry for a survey and I'd like them to rate in a star system. I'm able to change the column type to symbol with stars, but in the form the selection is word based (one, two, three, etc) instead of star selections. Is it possible to make this change?

What I do is I add the Emoji stars to a dropdown column instead.

Would that work?

Forms now support the symbol column on the sheet with symbols displayed in the form!

If I use the Smartsheet function for symbols, the form shows both the stars and the number. I want to show just the stars. If I use Andree's suggestion, how do I convert to numeric values for formulas?

Never mind - I used emojis and nested IF statements to covert to numerics for summation.

Update - no way to delete the comment but this is working

I am still seeing words when I use a symbol column in a form on entry. For example $ values - I see one, two, three, four and five.
