Using a Password to Protect a Published Report

Is it possible to specify for a password to be used alongside the URL for a published report?

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment in Smartsheet, but it's an excellent idea!

Yes, if you select public, but you could use the other choice (Only available to users in the owner's account), and that the users need to be added to your account.

They would need to be logged in to Smartsheet.

Would that work/help?

There might be a possible workaround.

What is he reason that you want to password protect it? What is the process?

As I understand it the URL to the published report becomes 'public' meaning if the URL gets passed around anyone with the URL can access the report. I'd prefer to have a second level of protection particularly when sharing the URL with parties external to my own organisation.

Hi Andrée,

works a treat - thank you. So I guess it's a choice of sacrificing the convenience of simply using a public URL or creating an unlicensed user and having them login to smartsheet to maintain a level of 'control'.

I have submitted an enhancement request anyway.
