Is there a way to mass update permissions on a sheet?

I have 25 sheets that need to have the permission level changed for about 25-50 users per sheet. Is there way to do this all at once, or do I have to check each person on each sheet to viewer access?

Hi Sara,

If the users are currently already shared to the sheet individually and you need to downgrade their sheet level permissions, then yes, you will need to check each person individually & manually.

However if you were looking to Upgrade their permissions, there are a few ways you could do this. Either you could have each of these contacts added to a Group and then share them as a Group to each sheet (allowing you to adjust their sharing permissions as one), or you could put all the sheets into a Workspace and share these users with specific permissions on the entire workspace.

The higher permissions take precedence, so if you have a sheet in a workspace with a user as Viewer on the Workspace but then shared individually at the sheet level as Editor, they will have Editor permissions.
