Cell arithmetic not correct

I've found that some of my cells aren't adding or subtracting the way I thought they should.

I have a sheet that caluclates using Countif formulas. Generally everything is correct, except for the cell in yellow.

You'll see that the cell above is returning "6" based on the following (6 minus 3)

In my mind the result should be "3" not "6". Any thoughts why this is occuring?

I play around with changing the formula to select other cells in the column, sometime the maths is correct, other times not. Quite weird.

What are the formulas in rows 3 and 15?

Hi Paul,

Row 3 formula is - =COUNTIF({Reporting Matrix Range 2}, "1")

Row 15 formual is - =COUNTIF({Due Diligence Report}, "1")

That's odd. The COUNTIFS should definitely be producing numeric values, but it is almost as if [Column2]15 is being output as a text value.

I suggest reaching out to Support for this one.
