Can we lock the comments field

HI Team,

In smartsheet can we lock comments in rows so that no can delete comments...it's possible ..please advise ..

Hi Yashwant,

You can edit or delete any comment that you create, and, the sheet Owner or anyone with Admin-level sharing permissions to the sheet can delete any comment or comment thread. (See here.)

If you don't want anyone to edit/delete comments, you can lock the row (see here), but then they would not be able to add comments either.

Users with Admin permissions could still add comments to locked rows, but then they could delete any comments as well because of their permissions.
