Is it too complex to achieve?

Hello @UrbanNomad
This should be achievable using formulas.
For instance, the formula may look something like =IF(AND(Start = "6-7", End = "7-27"), "5"). Although this formula won't work without modifications, its an example of what could be achieved for the date ranges of 6-7 and 7-27. In theory, this would place the number 5 in any cell where the formula was place.
If possible, can you please provide more information on the hours vs date range? So for every cell on the date range of 6-7 and 7-27, should all the cells in that range contain 5?

@Genevieve P @Sean Morgan : I don't think this requires a customized formula, I could achieve the same in excel.
@Genevieve P : Thanks for the link, it didn't help.
