% Complete Manually Formula

I need to Manually calculate the % Complete for the Parent Task because I want to use a formula for the children. Does anyone have the formula that the Automatic Project Settings use for % Complete?

Hi Ray

I have had a quick look and play with this and if your manual % complete column is formatted as a % (i.e. you've used the % button to format the column) then putting this formula in the parent row should summarise it appropriately

=SUM(CHILDREN()) / COUNT(CHILDREN())

That helps, but I need a weighted average. I used the Following % to compare to the automated % calculation set in the Project Settings of Smartsheet:

Formula % Calculation was 20%

Automated (Smartsheet Project Settings)

Summary Task % =30%

Task 1 20%

Task 2 40%

Task 3 60%
