Reports: Unable to Update Dates or Sort by Dates

Hello,

I have 2 issues with my reports sheet

1. For some reason, on my reports i'm able to update the dates sometimes but not at other times. Its not consistent.
2. When I try to sort the dates on ascending so that the earlier dates are on the top and the later dates on the bottom, it doesn't work. It worked before but not anymore.

Sorry, might be two silly questions:

Your 'Start' columns are all set up as 'Date' column type across all your sheets?

Have you tried only displaying the sheets/rows that actually have an entry in the 'Start' columns and see if behavior is consistent then?

Another question: Are any of those dates being calculated by formulas? If so, cells with formulas can not be updated in reports.

1. Yes, he start columns are all set up as dates.
2. I can't remove the ones without a date because I really need them on this report for decision making.

Hi everyone,

It sounds like this case is solved but I wanted to add another comment on question 1. Sometimes if I can't edit a column on a report its because I changed the column type on the source sheet. The fix is to remove the column from the report and then add it back again.

Hi @Chichi - would you mind letting us know what the resolution was?

@Werner Gerstacker On the report builder the "when" column had nothing selected. I noticed that as soon as I entered something in there I was able to sort by ascending and also able to edit the dates from the reports page.

@Mike Wilday Yes that did as well. I'm hoping that isn't just for now. But so far everything looks good
