How do I import information on outlook email to Smartsheet without manual intervention

Smartsheet has an integration with Outlook where you can add email messages and their attachments to rows or discussions in your sheet - please see our Help Center for details on how to set this up: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/1960482-smartsheet-app-for-outlook

You can also read more about the integration here.

You will still need to manually select which sheet the email should be added to, but you can do so directly from Outlook without opening Smartsheet. Hope this helps!

As a possible workaround, you could use the third-party services, Zapier or MS Power Automate, which might be an excellent option for this scenario.

Hello Andree,

Any other suggestions to be able to swipe an Outlook email into a Smartsheet. This feature used to work & we used to all the time...I mean all the time for documentation purposes.

I have the suggestion from Genevieve regarding the Outlook Add-in; however "You will still need to manually select which sheet the email should be added to" requires typing inn all the sheet info...when I with having SS already opened, I was able to easily swipe an email directly into the row-

Are we the only group having this issue? Additionally, tried using Chrome & did not work...currently using Edge-

If you're meaning the option to drag-and-drop from Outlook to Smartsheet, this is an issue that our Engineering team is aware of and is investigating.

In the meantime, if the file is saved locally on your computer (for example, having first drag & dropped the email onto your desktop) it can then be uploaded into Smartsheet successfully.
