How to catch email adress from a submitter into a form ?

Ok.
You can set the form to only be available when the user is logged in, and then you can add/use the Created By system column to get who the submitter was.
Make sense? Would that work?

Hi John,
Is it a Smartsheet user in your account?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!
Best,

Hello Andrée,
I have a form sheet linked to a backlog tracking sheet.
Only identified user in the organization can access to this form sheet to introduce a request.
I just want to retrieve user email information for automation in term of follow of the request. Actually I can ask in a field for the email address, but I want to have it in an automated way to avoid any mistyping and identify the requester correctly.
Hope this clarify the topic.

So, how do you get people to login? Is it simple? They have to confirm email login before accessing the form?
I am new to SmartSheets and have not tried yet the forms.
Thanks a lot in advance.

I hope you're well and safe!
Yes, it's easy, but they need to have a Smartsheet account and log in to it.
You'd set the form that they need to be logged in, and they can log in with Google, Microsoft, and others or Email and Password.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
