Using a formula in RYGG but it disappears when used manually
I have a Contract Health column in my sheet to note the health of a contract which would be a manual process to move from R, Y or G. However, if the contract is closed, I wanted it to check the "Expired" column and then to automatically revert to Grey. I copied the formula down but when I made the row Red to test I noticed the formula disappears. Right now I don't have KPIs that indicate what RYG mean. Once I get them I could create a column where they would note something like "client unhappy" and if it shows that then the status would change to Red but right now I don't have that. What suggestions are there to be able to manually change the cell RYG as necessary but have it automatically change to Gray when the contract is closed?

Hi Pamela,
Unfortunately as you've noticed, it's not possible at the moment to have a formula and also change the value manually, but it's an excellent idea!

As a possible workaround, the third-party service, Zapier, is an excellent option for this scenario.
Is that an option for you?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Thanks @Andrée Starå ! I decided to keep playing with it and created a test column where I put in 4 different criteria for RYGG and was able to get it to work so that is something of a start.
