Link Barcodes to rows

Hello All

Is there a way to link barcodes to a specific row in smartsheet? For example: I have a lot of details that needs to be installed. A worker takes his phone or barcode scanner, scans the specific code and gets info from a smartsheet table, about what detail is this etc.?

Hi Sander,

I do not think this is realizable without any additional programming using the Smartsheet API.

One of the add ons on Smartsheet we developed is quite generic for quick searching a smartsheet row based on any kind of key value, which could also be a barcode scan off course. Please see picture below or check on : https://app.smartsheet.com/b/publish?EQBCT=2369462e4ccd456e8e5ff521ad9506fe

Off course this could also be customized exactly to your demands or we could build a specific solution.

So how exactly can I add a barcode to a row in Smartsheet? I have several sheets in total of more than 100 000 rows, doing this one by one is not an option.
