Conditional formatting not working with formulas?
I have two columns, one being first name, the other last name. I have 5 sets of these columns. I've taken it upon myself to combine the rows for any easier comparison. What I'm trying to do is find the duplicates between set 1 & 2, 1 & 3, etc. In the end I was expecting to find every name highlighted as each name from the following sets after 1 should already be included within the list of set 1, I'm just double checking here. Anyways When I use conditional formatting on the full list of names starting with set 1 & 2, 1, & 3, etc. some names do not show up highlighted. For example, when I check for duplicates of last names between 2 sets I get highlighted answers. When doing this same thing for formulas of full names though I get none. Why is this?

This looks like it's in Excel and not Smartsheet. Is that correct?

Excuse me, I meant to say all full names never show up highlighted.

Unless they were specifically typed in.

Hi Jaret,
Not sure I follow!
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

So I have my name listed here 3 times. All hold the same data in the Full Name column. I use conditional formatting to highlight duplicates. As you can see though, only 2 are highlighted. The only difference I find is that I typed in the last two "Jaret Sanchez" and the first was a formula of =A3&" "&B3
