Labs - Smartsheet Charts
I know Labs isnt officially supported, but I thought someone on here might know what I'm doing wrong.
I have a very basic data set I am trying to graph using Charts.
basiclly a date and a volume delivered:
Eg: 13/01/2017 525
14/01/2017 612
15/01/2017 599
Etc.
However, when ever I choose a graph option, i get this error message, and I have no idea what it actually means or how to fix it. Any help is appreciated! Thanks guys

Kylie,
(not a Smartsheet employee, but..)
While it isn't an official product, support@smartsheet.com or smartsheetlabs@smartsheeet.com will answer questions and have helped me in the past.
What they mean (I believe) is "don't count on this being available always, its beta!")
That said, you did not post what your error message is, but I can guess.
I don't think the Charts supports dates or text as values. I can't remember if I got that to work or found a different way to do things. Are you getting a message about a "data type"? That's probably why then.

Craig is right Kylie and I would add, that we have recommending Graphs to our clients and been using the Graphs in Smartsheet labs for years now and never had a reliability issue so far. Real time Graphs are an excellent way to see your KPI data.
Setting this up for the first time could be slightly more intuitive, so if you dont get the exact help you need from smartsheet support i'm happy for one of my team (Craig if he's free) to help you set this up as part of our free initial consultancy offer.
Let us know if that helps.

Kylie—
Email smartsheetlabs@smartsheet.com and provide the steps you were taking that lead up to the error, and a screenshot of the error.
Since Labs apps are experimental, the team might log this as a bug (meaning they can't provide you with an immediate fix) if they don't have a workaround.
Although it's not officially supported, our Labs team values feedback and would love to know more about the error that is occurring.
