Can you reduce the depth of a row so only the 1st or 2nd rows of cell content are on view

I've not figured out an alternative for your query but one thing I find quite useful is the comments for adding a lot of history, otherwise your sheet itself can get quite busy looking.
So most of my line descriptions are title or short description, with the detail written up as a comment.
