CountIFs
Hi I am trying to do a count if to see the following
- if the value selected is Milestone
- and the status selected is Complete
at the moment I have tried this =COUNTIFS(Value:Value, "Milestone", Status:Status, "Complete")
but its returns an unparsable or circular ref and the also blocks the formula I have to see the total number of milestone (which was previously working)
Any help greatly appreciated :)
thanks
Ruth

Hi @Ruth Potts
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andrée,
Yep here you go. this is part of the summary data I am trying to extract from our project management templates which I am setting up at the moment. There is a dropdown list in the values column which details what type of task it is and a dropdown list in the status column with the usual Complete, Cancelled etc. I am trying to get the headline data on how many completed milestones there are and how many completed tollgates there are for the exec level dashboards.
Thanks :)

Happy to help!
The formula looks correct, so It's probably another formula that is creating the error.
What is the formula for the total amount of milestones, and where is it located?

@Andrée Starå the total milestones is in the collapsed summary section at the top of the sheet and is =COUNTIFS(Value:Value, ="Milestone")

You'll need to change the ranges or add the formula to another column by the looks of it.
I'd be happy to take a quick look.
