Graphs from Pivot Tables

If I'm creating a graph from a pivot table and using a system generated "created date" as the column is there a way to summarize by the month instead of each row in the table being separate column in the pivot table?

You would need to create your own table with each month being on it's own row and use formulas to summarize the data.
