Formula to Arrive Todays date

Is there any option today reflect today's date in smart sheet.

I tried typing =TODAY() in smart sheet cell and returned with #INVALID COLUMN VALUE

Its similar to MS Excel I used this formula in the cell I require

The TODAY function only works in a date type column. Make sure that the column you're adding it to is formatted as a date column.
