Elapsed time accounting for weekends

I see many threads referring to elapsed time calculations (i.e. the time between a start date/time and end date/time) and many promises from Smartsheet to add this function natively at some point, yet I still don't see a solution. This is a complete showstopper for our application of Smartsheet. We need a way to calculate the time elapsed, excluding weekends, similar to Excel's NETWORKDAYS
