Contains & "Invalid Column Value")

Hi

I am trying to use this formula:

=CONTAINS("Medium"; [Rank]:[Rank])

Rank column is the column with drop-down (single select) where user can select one of these:

High (Business Critical)

Medium (Moderate Need)

Low (Nice To Have)

However, it results in the "Invalid Column Value" error. Do you know how to solve this?

=IF(CONTAINS("Medium"; Rank:Rank); "Medium")

=IF(CONTAINS("Medium"; Rank:Rank); "Medium")

Worked like a charm! Thank you.

Can you help me to understand why mine was not working? I was expecting to see either "True" or "False" and after that I want to wrap this in the IF statement.

The CONTAINS function doesn't work on its own. It has to be used in another function.
