Hep! I am trying to drag and drop tasks using calendar view but it is not letting me. No error message just unable to move it.
Hi @Jennie Victoriano
Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to drag & drop in the Calendar, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Hmm... That is not what was shared by smartsheet in this smartsheet video. Clearly states here that the functionality is a working functionality.
Which video did you see it in?
Here is the video with the drag drop/slide of visits in calendar view and also shows how to user overlays. How do we make this work?
2018 video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSXmjXxJYh0
Jan 30, 2020 video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PCCntAM0M8
I also would like to see this functionality. The calendar view feels cumbersome without it
I'm testing some things out, but at the moment, I seem to be correct, and it doesn't work. (and it should work according to the videos)
I'll let you know if I find out why.
I have a similar problem with a plain calendar. What is especially frustrating is that some items easily drag and drop, while others I must edit manually. It was working until just a few weeks ago, and now some work, some don't.
is it possible that it would not work when there is a function on a row?
(i have a sheet on which i can move some tasks and some others i can't, the difference seem to be in the formula but i'm not sure).
Well, i have 2 smartsheets, one in which I can drag and drop tasks in my calendar (except if there a function on the date displayed), and the other one in which the drag and drop feature is not possible. If you have any more information, that would be great. Have fun!
Hi @Julie Cloutier and @rholder4tm,
If you're working in a sheet with dependencies enabled, the drag functionality for task bars in the Calendar View won't be available. If you're not working in a dependency-enabled sheet, it's possible that having other automated calculations via formulas may be restricting the drag and drop functionality as well. If the behavior is becoming problematic, you may want to reach out to the Support Team to see if they can review your sheet, confirm the root cause of the issue and the expected behavior, and provide insight on how to resolve this.
I hope this helps!
Hey @Ben G - just ran across this doing a similar thing, and is this explained anywhere in Smartsheet's help documents? Couldn't find it, there's no reference to this in the YouTube video, that this might a thing. Glad I scrolled to the bottom on this, makes a huge difference.
Hi @Dan Smock,
Happy to help! I haven't found this documented anywhere either so I've submitted a request to get this verbiage added to the Calendar View Help article.
Hello! I created two sheets with separate forms and when I checked to see if anyone had submitted the forms yet, I didn't see anything on either sheet but when I click on "manage forms" it says that there are 62 submissions for one and 18 for the other. How can I fix this so I can see what people are submitting?! Thank…
I have a Smartsheet tracker that has been tied to one report. I recently created a second report that pulls similar information from the same Smartsheet tracker and that is working fine. However, the other report no longer shows any data in it for me or others. I have verified that we have admin access on the original…
I need a formula that will count the day that a row is "Open" but stop counting the days once its "Closed" both instances need to display the count. Here is a formula I was trying to use. Thanks =IF([Date Closed]@row > 0, ([Date Closed]@row - [Date Opened]@row), TODAY() - [Date Opened]@row)
