Has anyone found a workaround for DataUploader to run from shared google sheets?
We would like to set a few datauploaders to run daily from google sheets. The google sheets are owned by several different individuals/users and stored in a shared google drive. Due to Smartsheet licenses we would like one person to own the data upload workflows, but Smartsheet does not currently support Data Uploads from Shared Google Drives. Has anyone found a workaround to be able to upload google sheets into Data Uploader without them being located in a individual google drive? Or, is there a separate process that could help us achieve this goal? The daily data uploads prompt pivots, cell links, and data flowing through other shared Smartsheets.

I agree that this is a shortcoming. I hope Smartsheet has some type of development set to fix that.
In the interim though, I'm thinking something like Zapier or IFTTT would do the trick. Something like a rule that looks at the specific shared drive where the files will be located, and then automatically creates a copy in a single users "Smartsheet" folder when the files change. That way you could point the Data Uploader at a single user's folder, but also know that the data is being updated from your Shared Drive.
A little convoluted, but I think it will work.

Thank you @David Tutwiler - your suggestion is a good workaround and much appreciated! For the time being we are going the manual route and uploading individual smartsheet attachments daily (the Data Uploader will run off of those and trigger upon upload). We'll see how it goes or if Zapier or IFTT might help from a single user's folder. Thanks again!
