Today Formula not working

Hi,

I am trying to use the formula =TODAY() - [Date Issue Opened]1 to populate today date- start date= how many days open.

When I type in the formula and try to select the row Date Issue Opened it says #UNPARSEABLE. I have tried using various formulas, so I think it has something to do with selecting the Date Issue Opened.

Can you provide a screenshot of your sheet along with copying/pasting the exact formula directly from your sheet to here?
