Request an update when a cell is left blank is not working

Hello. I am trying to create an automation where if a cell is left blank then a request is sent every 24 hours as long as that cel is left blank. I have a sheet where users add info to it via a form and can assign tasks to individuals. I want them to receive requests for updates if the assigned individuals do not compete their assigned tasks. I am attaching a photo of the automation. Thanks.

I'd suggest you build your workflow as shown below. Note that you will need to add a contact column, I've added one called "Assigned User" and modify your update request recipient to "Send to contacts in a cell," and select the contact column you add.

You might need to click on the grey underline "Change your permission settings" and select "Unrestricted" so that users outside of the shared users can get the request.
