Gantt Chart Markers

Is there a way to create a marker on a gantt chart?

For example, the entire task timeline is 11/1/20 - 12/31/20 and I want to add in a midway point marker such as a dot with halfway there within that timeline.

Sort of ... create a task in between the two tasks where you want the marker and give it a duration of zero and then make it dependent on the first part and make the second part dependent on it.
