Hi,

I have 2 columns on my smartsheet, A and B. A can have up to 30 values or so (example : open, not started, in progress, deployed etc) depending on the value of A, I need column B updated (example if A is "open or not started or to-do , B should be "not started" and if A is "in testing or dev or QA" then B should be "in progress) Since there are so many values in A, the formula is turning out to be quite complex for me to nail down. Please can you help with this?

I’d recommend creating a lookup table instead by using VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH. It can be in the same sheet or a separate one if you use cross-sheet formulas.
