Hi

Unless you need the attachment field for other elements you could use the file upload field and name it signature so that someone could upload their signature.

I did check that you can add an image on the sheet but I tried to copy and past on the form and even tried the send update request to see if I copy and paste or drag the image across and that didn't work.

I think I will add a request to add a field type called image which may solve this in the future

I don't think a upload or picture is to easy to work with on a daily basis, not everyone has an signature available to upload or take a picture..

Hi

Then how about using a single text field, naming it signature, making this mandatory (if that is required) and use the Help text to indicate that typing in their full name means they are signing? You could use a further checkbox that is also mandatory to indicate that this is confirmation that they have signed and then submitted.

thats good for non important forms, but for legal forms we need a regular signature. but I guess they don't offer that yet.

Then perhaps I am misunderstanding the question.

When you mean regular situation, do you mean that someone gets a form and then you want them to use a mouse to create a signature, upload an image or use an adobe / docu-sign field so that they can add a signature?

I don't think, smartsheet has such an option, even on a sheet, do they?

Now I understand

I looked for an integration app and couldn't find one.

I also tried using the draw feature to see if I could draw into the field in my iPad and that didn't work.

I even tried the proofing feature to see if I could write on it.

The only other solution I can think of is the document generator.

The other option is document generator.

Have all the fields export to a pdf that has the legal stuff that you want and the final fillable field will be where the person could use Adobe sign.

Whilst a pain, they could then sign that document (as you can attach the document to the row) they can sign it and then it attaches as version 2. You could then lock the fields of the row so that you don't then upload another item.

Would be a great feature if it connected to adobe sign.
