"send" function VS email recipient address NO longer displayed
At my company, we often use the function "send", to distribute emails to several people at the same time. This email contains important information & attachement.
For years, this function has always sent the emails WITH all the recipients address clearly displayed into the emails heading. Seeing all the recipient is a must, since legally it is a proof of distribution.
Something happened last week-end, between 2020-10-16 & today 2020-10-19: The recipients are no longer visible in the emails.
Anyone else noticed this change ? I can we change this back to previous state, where we could see all the recipient ?

@Patrick Vachon can confirm, our team noticed that this started happening on 2020-19-16. We tested a few other alerts (manually sent to internal and external collaborators), but couldn't identify a trend.

@Chris Mondeau thanks for your comment. I had a phone conversation with someone at Smartsheet today. He was concerned about this and he said he will bring this up to "higher" level. I'm supposed to get a follow up very soon. Will update this post when I get more info.

@Patrick Vachon @Chris Mondeau - Thank you for posting this. Our organization also began noticing this issue within the past few days. I also reached out to Smartsheet Support about this (by email and again today by phone). I just received a follow-up email from the Smartsheet team member I spoke with today. The response was not what I was hoping it would be, but I wanted to share it with both of you:
From Smartsheet Support:
"I just wanted to send you a follow up email with regards to our conversation about the "To:" field in emails not showing all recipients.... Our Privacy, Security, and Engineering team confirmed that this is now the expected behavior for the email functionality when an email is sent from Smartsheet to multiple email addresses in the "To" field. This was an update that was made in order to better protect user information and prevent email abuse."
I was also advised that currently there is no option to re-enable the functionality to display all email recipients (and that my feedback/request has been submitted to their Product Team).
Patrick - Please let us know if you receive a response different from this. The ability to see all email recipients is very important for our organization as well.
Thanks,
Leslie

I did not get any response yet. I guess at this point I will need to pass this issue along my upper management. This just cannot work this way.

Hi @Patrick Vachon ,
Smartsheet recently made an update to the features "Update Request" and "Send Sheet as an Attachment" to align to the privacy and security protocols enabled throughout the application's notification and messaging features. These updated protocols ensure the privacy of recipients of notifications from the application and that personal information is not inadvertently disclosed to unintended individuals.
We apologize for any inconvenience this update might have caused with your current use cases. If you would like the ability to modify the way messages are sent, we recommend submitting a feature update request.
Kind regards,
Eric

@Eric D is there an updated document withing the help center where the details of this are explained? I'd like to see them so I can explore some options for our team to work with the new security features. Thanks!
