Can I auto-tab to a new field in forms when scanning barcodes

I am attempting to use barcode 128 with a control code to tab into the next field. When I scan the barcodes I am being pushed out into the address bar, instead of the next field. I've tried the Codes for Horizontal Tab, Vertical Tab, Line Feed and Form Feed. Is there a special code for smartsheet? I'm not super savvy, but I'm trying to make an Equipment checkout system and it would make it alot easier if it automatically goes to the next line instead of the user having to tab on a keyboard or click in each box. They have a tendency to forget and overwrite the information.

I wish there ws, I've worked on this for my company and reached the same problem. Education of the users is the best thing I've come up so far, but if somewhat has a better advice, I'm up for it.

But I'm not sure it would happen, except if your codebar scanner have some kind of button that can send the "ENTER" keymap code to Smartsheet. Because to Smartsheet, the codebar scanner is just some kind of keyboard.
