Is it possible to freeze a row, yet?

I notice in a discussion from 2015 that freezing rows was not a capability. I couldn't find anywhere if that had changed. Is it possible now?

Yes it is possible to freeze a row in Excel, here are steps that you need to perform.

1. For example you want to freeze the top row, then go to the View tab, in the Window group, tap to the Freeze Panes option.
2. From freeze panes drop down menu, choose the Freeze Top Row.
3. Now Scroll down in your Excel worksheet.
4.  Excel will automatically put a horizontal dark grey line. This will indicate that the top row is now freeze up.

Most of the time user stuck into Excel Freeze Panes Not Working Issue. So check out this post, if you encounter such problem.

This issue has been on the cards now for a very long time. Is it possible to freeze a row now? If not - why? This should be a basic function.

I use SmartSheet every day and this would be a productivity feature on large sheets. I constantly have to scroll around for menu icons just to manipulate a row below view. 7 years is a long time for a card which has been done forever in MS Excel. Is it on the roadmap? Is it slotted for a release?

I have another fun use for this... in Reports you cannot see column descriptions. Freezing a row at the top solves this issue. We prefer to have non savvy users work out of reports instead of grids as they can be a bit more on rails. Not being able to explain each column through column descriptions is a major bummer.
