I would like to search in a parant/child and get the result from another column

In the example you see BE and IT, with specific items. I'm looking for example for BE, item 4 and then want to see result mail 2, or IT, item 6 result mail 5.

I tried index and match but I can't get it too work, does anybody have an idea how to solve this?

Are you working on the same sheet or a different sheet? Are you able to provide a mocked up example of the end result?

Hi Paul,

thx for your response. I’m linking into another sheet, in the master sheet i have country and items in the reference sheet i have country items and email adresses. This sheet is used to change the persons that are linked to an item. So from the master sheet i need to do a lookup ( index/ match/ vlookup or combination) in the reference sheet and return the email as the result. I just can’t get the double index requirement to work.
